| The Spiral Staircase 2008 |

For those who enjoyed the music from The Spiral Staircase in Flatspace, The Spiral Staircase 2008 has been released. Parts of the 2002 version of this instrumental concept album appear in the Flatspace soundtrack. The 2008 version represents a new and extended production of the music, and is now available on CD or by download from The Spiral Staircase page on Mark Sheeky's website, or on commercial download sites including Apple iTunes.

A music page has been added to this website for Cornutopia Music. Cornutopia Music was created in 2007 as the record label for game music releases like The Flatspace Soundtrack, but there are a few other music CD's in the catalogue, and more to come.

A Flatspace II update is now available for download. Flatspace II v1.04 includes a few bug fixes and minro enhancements such as indexed names of fighter craft and faster recharge on larger generators. Save games are (or should be!) compatible between versions. This is a beta version to test wider compatibility for a few weeks. Visit the downloads page for the full download and a smaller update.

The price of the first Flatspace game has been lowered to $12.95 (or £6 GBP, 9 Euros). The CD version will remain at the current price to reflect the limited quantity available. If the remaining 4 CD copies are sold then the CD version of Flatspace 1 will be withdrawn.

Part one of a new Flatspace fiction story by Andrew Williams is now on the stories page. The tale entitled Just My Imagination is about a Flatspace player who finds himself half in and half out of the Flatspace universe. Part two will be released next month.
