Dear Subscriber,

I'd like to announce that the 2008 version of The Spiral Staircase is now finally available to order on CD or by download from my website, as well as on a few associated websites including Apple iTunes.

The Spiral Staircase was composed and originally recorded in 2002 but my equipment at the time was limited and in late 2007 I began work on a completely new recording. As well as improvements in production quality, the remaster has a few musical changes including the Sea Monsters section which was composed for the original production but omitted.

While the summer light is with me I'm working on my last few paintings; my most ambitious yet, and I hope to enter at least one into The Three Counties Open competition in Staffordshire later in the year. I might save one for the Royal Academy in 2009 too. I hope to start again on music in October, and have three albums planned.

The first is called Stupid Computer Music and is a collection of my game themes, remixes, and new catchy tunes. Some tracks which will sound like contemporary melodic dance music, and some like early Jarre, or 1980's and 90's computer game music.

The second album is a remake of my Four Seasons of Dance. This will include tracks of all sorts using the themes of the four seasons. The sound will be similar to Animalia.

Finally I'd like to do a sequel to The Spiral Staircase although this one will be more difficult because of the work involved, and the element of inspiration. Some basic plans have been made, but this has to be written from scratch and so might not be started until 2009.

As usual, much will depend on whether I have the time and money to work on my creative things but I'm hopeful that as my skills and results improve, so will my chances of success.

Finally, exhibition news. The RBSA Gallery, Birmingham is currently showing my surreal Charlie Chaplin portrait. My next definate exhibition will be in the Cheshire village of Bickerton and will run from Aug 2 to Aug 10 2008. Five paintings will be on display there.

If you know anyone who might like my music or artwork, then please do spread the word.

Until later, goodbye, and thank you very much for your interest.
