About this painting
Painted for the Art for Shelter Animals Project, an animal rescue organisation, the cat is named eBay, a rescue cat. I decided to paint the cat in the colours and texture of grass. Gradually the idea of the cat lost in the grass appeared to me, as a representation of the fate of a rescue animal.

The expression is ambiguous, as the cat made of grass and yellow poppies stands in a summer field of green and red.
