Stupid Box Of Tea Bags

Well it was clear from the start,
a lonely murmer in my heart,
it would beat me.
The stupid box of tea bags defeat me
and there was no-one to blame.

The dishes lazing in their soup,
the cracking rhythm from the roof
were pointing at me
just as the stupid box of tea bags attacked me,
and there was no-one to blame.

I paused and looked out at the sun.
A golden morning had begun.
Your words were "meet me..?"
My-words-just like the box of tea bags defeat me
and there was no-one to blame.

My tongue was circumvent, the
flicker of lights flourescent.
The shock took hold of me and
I snapped the first utterence
in my mind.

I stroked the worktop with the brush,
a thousand tea-leaves in the rush
to delight me.
Your words were spoken once and so lightly
so there was no-one to blame but me.
