About this painting This picture was inspired by the agonising wait for British Telecom to repair my telephone. A surreal abstract picture. A crying face can be seen on the left, holding a telephone. An arm, transformed into a caterpillar, reaches along a distant sloping horizon. A clear centre of perspective adds a sense of depth, and the colours fade into grey as they move towards that point to represent the decay of waiting and waiting, and waiting.
