About this painting
This is a second version of a painting from 2005. White and black rhinos are a species near the edge of extinction and this picture with a dreamy, almost nostaglic, feel aims to create an impression of both the creatures themselves and their precarious situation.

The eye of a rhinoceros looks out over a dreamy landscape. Trees become legs, then stone columns in a plain of rocks and bones. The leaping fish is the only sign of life in this desert of statues.
