Flatspace II
"Once again, there isn't too much of a story, but players should enjoy creating their own. There is actually fan-fiction available on the Flatspace website (lostinflatspace.com). The game looks and feels like the original game, but it is definitely easier for new players and great fun for veterans as well." Full review.
"...let's get one thing straight: Fans of Elite who could do without the superfluous mental gymnastics of games like Egosoft's X series but who need more than mere stock-market tic-tac-toe should give the free (and small, at 12.5 MB) downloadable demo a look. And barring any adolescent (in gamer years) hangups about its budget graphics, chances are you'll be hooked for hours, days, weeks, even months to come." Full review.
"...There are big changes and small changes. All of the graphics are new (there are twice as many as before) and every ship has been remodeled. Space stations include schools, farms, hospitals and other things essential for a civilisation as well as the normal trade stations and cities..." Full Interview...
"...Some upgrades and ships are only available to certain guild ranks so boosting those is one goal. Experienced traders can buy a station for example, but do well enough as an alien hunter and you can have that cloaked ship..." Full Interview...

"...At $20 you can't beat Flatspace for value. It's an addictive little game, with a unique type of gameplay. I've been playing it on and off for quite a while now, and I'm not even close to exploring the entire universe or getting bored..." Full Review...
"...Having a huge game like this with everything being dynamic and having it all come out as nicely as it did is amazing. What would have made it nicer is some kind of story mode, but with what Flatspace already provides, you can still expect to see a lot of interesting things happening in the game... With the huge world, incredibly dynamic AI, and sheer number of things to do, Flatspace should provide plenty of hours of diversion..." Full Review...

"...overall this album of music transcends what you would label as merely soundtrack and stands out on its own merits as extremely upbeat, atmospheric music that is well worth listening..." Full Review...
"...In Flatspace, the player ship is on equal terms with the other enemies in the galaxy but that can make life tough, also unfair deaths can occur that I want to stop. Needless to say there will be more equipment and ships, and various selectable scenarios will allow players to play a 'classic' Flatspace game without the story..." Full Interview...
"...every one of the several thousand traders, pirates and space stations are in memory and moving through space. Each ship has a crew, modular equipment layout, stock (in the case of space stations) and fighters (in the case of carriers). The ships though are stored in a very compressed way..." Full Interview...
"...The exploration aspects of rogue clones is rarely used in games, yet those are some of their most interesting aspects. Every game is different. It keeps the game interesting even at the start, a plot driven game gets more and more interesting until you finish the game and never play it again..." Full Interview...
