January 2010, Cheshire U.K. - Computer game sound effects specialists IndieSFX (www.indiesfx.co.uk) have released Pickups, a new collection of effects in spj format as used by their SFXEngine Software. The 20 basic sounds are included in mono and stereo wav format too.
Most games need sounds that play when the player picks up an item or clicks a button. This pack includes a wide range of useful sound effects, from electronic sounding arpeggios to mechanical clunks, motor upgrade sounds to complex layered magic spell effects. There is so much variety here that the 20 sounds in the pack can be modified in SFXEngine to quickly create a vast array of pickup sounds in seconds.
The project contains 25 samples and 51 modulators and includes Space Station, Distortion Radio, Supercave and Fingers In Ears environment programs. These additional filters make it simple to place the sound in the location you want it.
