Melee Weapons SFXPack Released

A new SFXPack, Melee Weapons is now available. Of particular use in fantasy role playing games, Melee Weapons contains templates for hand to hand combat weapons, and includes traps and monster attack and hit sounds. SFXPacks are sound effects in spj format as used by SFXEngine Software to allow easy customisation of the sounds. See the SFXEngine page for more information on SFXEngine.

Free Pickups With Genre Bundles

New Release: Pickups

A new sound effects set, Pickups, has been released. Perhaps pickups are the most common sound effect in any game, but also most difficult to locate. Pickups contains a comprehensive selection of pick-up sounds including a huge array of blings and bonus effects for menus and puzzle games, to more realistic sounds like reloads, weapon upgrade and pickup/drop sounds.

New Music Online

Three new IndieSFX royalty free music tracks have been added. Action tracks Starflight and Roborider, and casual game track Moon Swim are now online. Purchased tracks can be used without royalty and until the first sale is made the tracks are available to one customer exclusively for a higher fee.

Doors SFXPack Released

A new SFXPack, Doors is now available. Doors contains templates for swinging and sci-fi doors of all types, including hinges and locks, pneumatic hisses and electric slides. From now until the end of June, SFXEngine comes free with Doors and two other SFXPacks; Ballistic Weapons and Space Weapons. Lifetime Upgrades Now Active

From today, customers who order the full IndieSFX library will be entitled to free lifetime updates; copies of new sound effects sets as they are released. The annual bundles were intended to allow continual updates but this option was less than ideal, so these have now been discontinued and wholly replaced by the bundles by game genre, and the full set with lifetime updates.

New Game Genre Packs

March 25 2008

New packs by game genre have been launched. Now you can buy discounted bundles of sound effects for specific game types which should be more useful to first time buyers than the annual sets. New bundles for Match-3, Space Shooter, Dungeon, Military Strategy and First Person Shooter are now active. SFXPacks for SFXEngine have also been reduced in price to £8 ($16 US).

New Card And Casino Sounds

The first new sound effects set of 2008 has been released. Part of our chromatic range, Card and casino is a collection of playing card and gaming sounds including fruit machine effects, and effects like betting chips and dice being cast.
