Customisation
If you're looking for original sounds specially created for your project, then you can hire IndieSFX. Prices can range from £2 to £10 per sound effect, about $3 to $15 US. The price can vary a lot depending on the type and quantity of sounds required, the scope of the project and our work schedule.

Several free sounds are included as standard so that if, at the end of the project, you wanted to add extra sounds that you hadn't thought of then those wouldn't cost you anything.

All of the sounds would be unique, created specifically for you, and could be supplied in high quality 44100hz 16-bit stereo or any lower resolution format you prefer. As a paying customer you would own an exclusive license to modify or use the sound effects as you want.

If you are just looking for one or two specific sounds then that's fine too.

The Creation Process
A detailed descriptive list of the sound effects you need and what they should sound like is essential. For the creation process, some information about the game or project and its atmosphere is useful too.

When working on a project it is often useful for me to have a test version of the program so that I am able to test the sounds in an actual gameplay situation, although this is not essential. Some screenshots or a demo can also help in assessing the sounds required.

The turnaround time for the first draft of sounds is normally about a week.
