Developed in 1999 for Windows 95 PC's, Arcangel was the first PC game by Cornutopia Software. The game was CD-ROM only and is no longer for sale due to compatibility problems with modern computer systems. The final hand signed edition was mailed in April 2009.

Arcangel was a turn based squal level strategy game. In a plot driven series of missions, players would equip and guide an elite squad of soldiers. Missions were partially random too, and there were a series of campaigns to choose from depending on which side of the conflict you decide to play as.

Arcangel was full of advanced features. Players could choose from up to eight different sides and play hot seat multiplayer, play on random or custom maps, set detailed difficulty options, play day or night missions, and players could choose equipment from a huge list of over 100 items.

The isometric game engine featured full visual arcs, accurate per-square lighting and use of units with built in weapons, like the Kron robots who had minigun arms.

The CD music soundtrack was highly praised, and now remains the game's greatest legacy. Developed with a full CD quality soundtrack, the game required a CD-ROM drive to run.
